Abbie Bowman

Abbie taught in the WS/FCS district for five years before becoming a stay at home mom with her one year old daughter. She was a candidate for Teacher of the Year twice during her career. She held leadership roles during her career as a School Improvement Team member and Lead Teacher for the fourth grade team. Abbie is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in American History.

Lyn Cole

I have 30 years' experience in financial services, teaching clients how to make good decisions regarding investing, risk management and budgeting. I was a flight attendant before that for seven years. I have two children, four grandchildren and a love of God, gardening, reading and yoga.

Rebekah Edwards

Rebekah Edwards. I have two sons 2 and 7 and I am married. My husband and I are both involved in the arts and Christian ministry. He is a classical guitarist and I have taught theatre and musical theatre for 9 years at Davie High School until we decided to homeschool. My background is in theatre performance as well as vocal performance. I have directed many plays and musicals and have taught all levels of theatre and musical theatre from beginning to advance technique. I would be interested in teaching theatre or musical theatre courses or something related. I also have great passion and love for the Lord so something in that area would be welcomed too.

Jessica Harrell

My name is Jessica Harrell. I grew up in North Carolina between Winston-Salem and Lexington. I attended North Davidson High School and graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Kinesiology. I have always had a love for art and crafting. The last several years of my life the Lord has been leading me to do more and more artwork and spend time creating with him! Whether that’s painting on canvas or making wooden signs and stenciling, doing chalk art or working with watercolor. I have done a few murals as well as work on canvas. I have helped lead a women’s group in creating beautiful projects and overall I love honoring the Lord through it and seeing what He is revealing and speaking! I currently do private classes for art and am excited to get started with ACE! I have two beautiful children, Liam and Emmerson. Outside of Jesus, they are my absolute joy. I attend Cornerstone Christian Church and am honored to be a part of what God is doing in the next generation.

Tracy Burke

Tracy Kiker Burke, first and foremost, is a proud former homeschooling mom of three, all who are now successful adults. Leaving her classroom teaching career behind to homeschool was life changing for Tracy. Learning what education could and should be gave her a new passion for teaching not only her children but many co-op students as well. Despite having a K-6 degree, high school writing and literature emerged as her main interests. Those subjects paired well with Tracy’s writing career as an education and child development author penning over 14 articles. Tracy always believed writing could be ( and should be) fun and not stressful. Searching for the best writing curriculum led her to WriteShop. After teaching WriteShop 1 and 2 for several years, both in co-ops and private tutoring, Tracy became friends with the curriculum developer, Kim Kautzer, who hired Tracy to represent WriteShop at homeschool conventions and also requested and Ebook be compiled of Tracy’s original games and ideas. You can definitely say Tracy is a fan of the program! When asked what her future goals are for teaching this program, Tracy stated her main wish is to show homeschooling families that writing does not have to be scary. Writing can be.....fun! She hopes to teach WS1 and then take the same students and lead them through WS2 while adding new students throughout. Tracy hopes to help the homeschool community with writing and help parents find and achieve their high school educational goals. In her spare time..( what is that anyway?) Tracy can be found reading, working on her first book, taking writing courses at Cornell, and teaching jewelry fabrication at Sawtooth School for Art. Despite being busy with all the before- mentioned, Tracy maintains that there is nothing more important to her than her family and all of her future students.

Monica Rahman

Hola! I'm Monica Rahman, and I'm so excited to help your child begin their Spanish-learning journey! I was born in Colombia and moved to the U.S. at the age of seven, growing up in Naperville, Illinois. Spanish was my first language, and it has always been a special part of my identity and culture. Now based in Winston-Salem, I’m a mom to three amazing kids and help manage the marketing and community outreach for our family’s chiropractic clinic. When we’re not busy with patients or homeschool life, you can usually find us traveling, cheering on our kids at baseball games, or simply enjoying time together as a family. I believe language learning should be joyful, engaging, and confidence-building, especially for young learners. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming space where kids can explore Spanish in fun, natural ways that stick for life.
